Why does it take so long for the funds are available?
I went to a Wells Fargo ATM on my campus to deposit a check for about $ 4200. The machine says that the availability of funds is delayed until the first week of February. Is this because its great check size or because its being deposited in an ATM? If I go to a branch going to be able to get the money before, thanks.

The delay time is adjustable over a broad range from 30ms slapback to nearly six full seconds of delay .
