Fender Tweed
What is the best way to sell my 1960 Fender Telecaster?

I had a series of assessments on the original guitar that I led during 49. I have the original tweed (AMP Champ) and the original case. It's beautiful, I know. But I can not find a place to sell this series. When I go to online retailers sell vintage "new" guitar for a couple of thousand dollars. I was told, is much more than that. Does anyone have any ideas other than Ebay? Thank you.

Hello! Before anything, check the magazine Vintage Guitar Price Guide (see http://www.amazon.com/Official-Vintage-Guitar-Magazine-Price/dp/1884883206/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1236451496&sr = 8-1). Most local libraries and bookstores (Borders, Barnes and Noble, etc) have these guides, where you can find your year and model. This gives the range of more realistic price (based on comparable sales), the instrument is sold inside, of course, much will depend on location, special features, the rarity of color, and the opportunity to determine the final value. Although a number of establishments that sell and buy vintage guitars (Google "vintage guitars for sale" for a list), you may want to consider finding a local music store high-end that allows you to put the instrument away in a car. There will a fee charged for selling the guitar, but at least it is not necessary to deal with the indifferent masses who just want to maintain and reproduce a true story of the instrument, without genuine interest to buy! You can also supplement your advertising exposure on Craig's List or Harmony Central classified (http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forumdisplay.php?f=77) reference to place of posting. Hope this helps. Best regards, Dana
