Harvard scientists may have found what makes people old. Everyone knows that our life expectancy is finite. We understand that as we age, our bodies will start breaking down and that the key to a good long life is taking care of our bodies when we are young so they can be healthy and strong when you get older. Of course, when we are young does not interest us years later, with our lives "for many of us to protect our own future. Soon however, we know exactly how our bodies age.

Question: Do you take measures to stop the aging process, if you understand how aging has worked?

According to recent research seems to lie the key to aging in sirtuins. Sirtuins are proteins that become more important as life continues. Harvard scientists have discovered that as we age, more of these specific proteins are to help repair the damage to our DNA that is caused by aging. Moreover, these same Harvard scientists may have found evidence that the process Aging can be delayed.

The mice that received the extra protein SIRT1 was better able to slow the aging process and damage better DNA repair in mice. The SIRT1 protein can be activated by resveratrol, a chemical found in walnuts, grapes and red wine. Of course The Harvard scientists are quick to point that is not yet time for people to run and begin the intake of resveratrol in high doses in the hope of stopping the process aging. The fact is that no drugs containing resveratrol are always available. Of course, having a glass of red wine at dinner certainly will not do you any harm!

This is the question posed today Lifemicroblog: Human beings live and hundreds of years. Do you really want to prolong your life even more long?

Obviously, as humans we are curious about the places that life can bring. We want to live long and have adventures and squeeze as much out of life as possible. The question, though: should we? Death can not be put forever and while there are studies on the aging process, to now there have been no studies on the quality of life if life itself lasted too long.

While intelligent people in the work of the Ivy League all that, here are some things you can do to improve the quality of your life like today is:

1. Get enough sleep each night. Sleep helps keep our mood and the organs of equilibrium. The less sleep, the less we love life!

2. Eat plenty of green leafy vegetables. Green leafy vegetables are among the healthiest foods on earth. Eat several servings each day to help keep your body strong.

3. Drink plenty of water. Water is the basic element of life and we can not survive without it. Stay hydrated!
