Guitarist Randy Rhoads was an American who rose to fame after becoming the guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne at the beginning of Ozzy's solo career. This was 1979. Randy Rhoads and Ozzy Osbourne, along with Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake formed the band that Ozzy was going to put firmly on the map again as an artist in his own right, after his release of the successful Black Sabbath.
Randy Rhoads was a classical guitar teacher. In collaboration with Bob Daisley, he and Bob wrote some of the largest Music of Ozzy's career, many songs of Ozzy, who still plays today in the Live Set.
Randy Rhoads is also famous for the "Randy Rhoads guitar V ", a guitar Randy designed and built by Charvel back in 1981 and 1982. Charvel director general at the time, Grover Jackson, went on to produce the guitar under the name Randy Jackson (apparently, the reason for choosing the brand that Grover Jackson had thought that the Randy Rhoads model might be too radical and will not run the risk of brands like Charvel.)
The Randy Rhoads V guitar was the guitar that put Jackson in full on the map. It was the first production model of Jackson. Before this time Charvel was a parts supplier for a few shops retailing of musical instruments, and became the odd guitar here and there.
Tragically career Randy ended in a fateful day in 1982 when it was a passenger plane crashed, killing all aboard. It had not seen the model final production of its design, what came to be known as the "Randy Rhoads V" guitar Jackson.
Jackson and Charvel guitars were built in the same factory until 1986 and then the company was sold to the Japanese manufacturer AMIC in 1989. Charvel ended up being made exclusively in Japan until 1991 while Jackson continued to be made in California Charvel Although the name had vanished by the end of the century, Jackson Charvel to see a new light when it was bought by Fender Music Corporation in 2002.
